Animal Kingdom and Epcot
So my flight into orlando, fl was very hectic...i almost missed my flight because i slept through my 5:40 AM alarm and since i now live four blocks from work, i never wake up that early anymore =) anyways, my mom barely woke me up and i raced to the airport, where luckily i didn't have to check luggage...yeah so basically i made my flight by maybe 15-20 minutes...
well here goes my new paragraph...first stop animal kingdom- we barely made it to our tour, which was freaking amazing!! highlights = seeing an elephant up close getting a pedicure (nails trimmed) and then having a male giraffe drool, yes drool, on me...haha it was really cool to get that close to the animals cause we even got our safari jeep for the ride...yup, cool pics hopefully coming from viv (camera was the last thing on my mind rushing to the airport)...oh then we did the popular rides - this roller coaster ride was based on mt everest...it was cooler than i expected cause it went backwards when i didn't expect it...and then there was the river ride which got me soaked...but the highlight of the day happened when we went to downtown disney and i got my eeyore stuffed animal=) and viv got her charm bracelet (yes i got one too but she's way more excited about hers) yes, it's all about fulfilling our childhood desires that were left unsatisfied when we had no disposable income and had to follow our typical (frugal) asian parents' standards as kids...haha...
ok so today we went to epcot and basically ate lots of good food...oh haha, apparently the guy on our ferry boat winked at viv in the morning...altho viv says he's one of those only looks good with sunglasses on...so...funny thing is that last time i came with jenny in college and when i came with my parents, i never realized that epcot had so much food...haha the benefits of following a foodie =) yup, to give a sampling - chocolate croissants from france, fish and chips and beer from england, chocolates from italy...the ride of the day was this soaring flight through scenic california...oh and we went on a tour in the back of the hydroponic greenhouse - very cool slightly abnormal mickey shaped pumpkins and nine pd lemons were some of the interesting things we saw...yup yup so then we walked back and had funnel cakes on the boardwalk (told you it was all about the food)...
anyways, i'm highly anticipating tomorrow for magic kingdom...we have an early tour and then a lot of rides to do...if we don't hit all the rides then we're going to the magic kingdom on monday again instead of mgm...but i'm feeling ambitious cause we came back to the hotel pretty early today...haha we'll see how we hold up tomorrow~
