Random facts i now remember
so many cool things about the backstage tours that i forgot to mention but can't figure out a way to put into a coherent paragraph so here's my list:
-they give elephants pedicures with nail files the size of tires
-giraffes drool a lot, and can kick through concrete, also get callouses on their knees from kneeling more (feel safer in the zoo)
-some weird organization plans out the birthing of all animals in captivity so that the genetic pool remains diverse enough so they don't have to go capture more animals
-the big stuffed ppl who act like characters look really weird without their heads
-3 types of actors - meet & greet (no talking, just based on height), superficial one (my term) the ones in the parade who have to actually look the part but still no talking, and equity actors, who need their own stage and are part of a union so you can't force them to do any of the prior jobs
-the ppl who work at the haunted mansion don't smile (strictly enforced)
-scenes from the haunted mansion where it looks like a hologram, are actually mirror images of actually figures beneath the ride
-they have mickey mouse head shaped pumpkins and nine pd lemons, quite freaky
-the main street of magic kingdom is actually the 'second floor' like they built on top of the first floor, which is now underground; it also was this model for this future city that walt disney was trying to build
-forced perception, making the buildings look smaller by making the top floors smaller is really freaky and totally works
-they choose the ppl who live in the cinderella room randomly; like 15th person to walk to the water fountain, etc.
hmm, that's all i can remember for now~
